WINSTON

Never Forgotten

I saved Winston from a private home in Portland, Oregon back in 1987!  He was approximately 8 weeks old and full of fleas with a bulging stomach.  I took him home and washed all the fleas off!  Thank GOD I already had George, my all black cat, because Winston got out of my house and I couldn't find him so I told George to go get Winston and about 10 minutes later here comes George pulling Winston by his neck!  Winston was a very unique cat because he would only make hunting sounds but never meowed.  He would also retrieve my dixie cup every morning and then lay it at my feet and would make the hunting voices to get me to throw it again!!!!  Very unique and loving cat who also loved taking over any box that was left on the floor!  He also had one blue eye and one gold eye!!!!

The journey through grief is different for everyone, but we know support, community and sharing stories help make the experience one of remembrance, renewal and even celebration of the life lost. We hope you find comfort in the memorial you’ve set up for your companion and encourage you to share with family and friends so they can show their love and support.
